Loki's season premiere, "Glorious Purpose," saw the God of Mischief arrested for breaking the code of The Sacred Timeline following the events of Avengers: Endgame. Loki used the Tesseract to escape the reality of the 2012 timeline after being captured by the Avengers during The Battle of New York. The discreet callback comes off the heels of Loki tracking down files in order to help the Time Variance Authority - also known as the TVA - after his arrest in Episode 1. The name is a direct reference to the nickname in which Thor attempts to brand his group of merry Asgardian bandits in Thor: Ragnarok. The second episode of Loki includes a subtle but very comical reference to the group name "the Revengers" in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment. WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Loki, Episode 2, "The Variant," streaming now on Disney+.
